GHOSTBUSTERS (2016) - Review I saw this movie twice in three days. It was a fun date night with my wife, and a fun movie to take my daughter to. She always wants a movie where the hero is a girl, so it was nice to take her to a film where we have 3 female scientists and Patty all acting as heroes and saving the day. The new characters are great. Each actress has their own type of comedy and uses it to their full potential. Kate McKinnon steals the show, but Jones, McCarthy, and Wiig all have their moments to shine. Chris Hemsworth brings a goofiness that is unexpected. The story could have used a few tweaks in the writing department, because the flow of the story jumps a bit. But, all in all, it is funny and that is what is important. It may be too scary for some kids and some jokes will go over therm, but I know the range of mine...and she loved seeing the original in the theater for the 30th anniversary and she loved this one too. Go see this movie. It is a fun horror-comedy. Trust me, I'm a fan of the original and this one ranks up there with Ghostbusters 2. I'm excited to see this movie franchise move forward...I'm hopeful it will.
